Angry Bingo Review

Angry Bingo

Angry Bingo has now closed its doors. This review will remain published for historical purposes.

About

Angry Bingo was launched when Angry Birds were the ‘in thing’ and when it first opened, the design of the site featured bingo balls with a very similar look to the characters created by Rovio Entertainment. However, with changes to the rules around online gambling sites having any aesthetic or characters on their home page that could appeal to those under the age of 18, these characters were abandoned. This was in 2017, some three years after the initial launch of the site.

It was in 2014 that Mandalay Media (Ignite/Intertain are other names that they are known as), started to build their network and this brand was one of many that we saw open in a short period of time.

It’s not a site that requires you to be mad or frustrated when you visit, in fact, in the spirit of responsible gambling, you shouldn’t visit any gambling site if your mood is not a good one! It’s just a name that came about because of something popular at the time of launch. It’s not indicative of how the site is going to make you feel!

The overall layout and design don’t differ much from other sites on the same network and if you’re a die-hard fan of online bingo, you’ll recognise the camp it’s from the moment you land on the home page.

Welcome Offer

Before making a deposit with the site you are able to access The Bingo Academy, a room offering free bingo games. All games are 90 ball and play every 15 minutes. The games don’t have the biggest prize pots (one line for £0.25, two lines for £0.50, and £1 for the full house), but they are free to play! This room is accessible for two days from the point of registration.

The welcome offer for newbies to Angry Bingo is a simple as it sounds; deposit £10+ and you will receive a 300% bonus (maximum £200) to use in the bingo rooms. On top of that, they will also give you 30 free spins to use on Fruit Blast.

Wagering Requirements

The bingo bonus and free spins are not automatically credited to your Angry Bingo account, you first have to claim the from the lobby after a successful 1st deposit has been made.

You will need to meet the 2x wagering requirements attached to the bingo bonus (initial deposit + bonus amount) prior to withdrawing any winnings. The 30 free spins have a win cap of £6 and are paid as a games bonus. Wagering requirements of 30x apply.

Deposits and Withdrawals

To deposit and/or withdraw from your Angry Bingo account, you have to visit the online cashier. Here you will see the various depositing options available to you. These vary depending on the country that you are playing from.

Popular options are available like debit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay if you are using an Apple device. You can also call support to pay by phone if you prefer.

The minimum deposit value is £5 and the minimum withdrawal amount is the same, just £5.

Promotions

The Angry Bingo promotions are accessible from the home page of the site rather than the lobby. On a visit when compiling the review, there wasn’t quite the selection of special offers that we have been used to seeing from the site over the years. Gone are the once a month specials that were once a mainstay of the site, and instead all that are listed are details of regular games.

With that said, head to the ‘Offers’ page and you will find details of bonuses on all deposits of at least £10 with the site. You will also want to visit the Jackpots tab from the promotions page where you will find information about all of the big money games that take place at the site. There’s a jackpot or two to be won every single day.

As well as all of this, the site is also home to free bingo, some of which is accessible without even making a deposit!

Bonus Codes

Angry Bingo doesn’t rely on bonus codes to keep their players coming back to the site, they do so because of the jackpots, game choice, and overall gaming experience available to them.

However, as is the case with many of the best bingo websites online today, if you register to receive promotional material from them by SMS, email, or post, you may find a bonus code or two in your inbox as a player here.

Game Selection

After you have registered to play and have headed to the lobby, the bingo rooms are all accessible using a tabbed format. These tabs separate the rooms available into handy sections which all help you navigate to an area that suits you.

There are the ‘Classic Games’ (games that have prizes determined by the number of players and tickets sold), Jackpots, Exclusive, Promos, Free, Easy Access, and All. Each room is named and has a little information available about ticket prices, player numbers, when the next game plays, etc. You will also see the game type offered by each room.

Angry Bingo is host to four different bingo variants; 75-24 (pattern bingo), 75-25 (five-line bingo), 90 ball, and 52 ball bingo. In some of the rooms you can participate in chat games and these offer you the chance to win loyalty points or bonuses if you win.

At the time of the review, we counted 40 different bingo rooms to choose from! There’s a room or game to suit any budget.

Alongside bingo, the site boasts a great selection of online slot and instant win games to their players. There are some well-known titles in amongst their portfolio, titles from equally well-known software providers like NetEnt and Microgaming.

Contact Support

From the home page, you can access a dedicated ‘Help’ area at Angry Bingo. This covers several different areas of the site and includes How To Play information as well as an FAQ section.

The chat hosts all know their product well, so it could be that they too might be able to assist you.

However, if you need to contact support, you can do so using the following methods:

Sister Sites

Under the Mandalay Media/Intertain/Ignite hat are many different brands and it is these that we consider being Angry Bingo sister sites. Of course, all powered by the Dragonfish software, there are many other brands that are related to this brand, but the following more so:

TV Adverts

Angry Bingo has not taken to the small screens to advertise their product since they launched in 2014.

However, if they do decide to use TV as a medium for promoting their bingo site in the future, details of the commercial will be added to this section of our review.

Review Summary

Summary

It’s got to be a solid 4 for Angry Bingo because this brand has so much to offer by way of promotions (even if it isn’t quite what it once was). Not only is there free bonus cash and free spins on your first deposit, but follow up deposits are often rewarded with extra freebies too. They have so much to offer by way of game variants for bingo and slot choices for their players so a rebrand to ‘Calm Bingo’ might be in order!
