Dotty Bingo Review

We have no clue who the ‘Dotty’ of Dotty Bingo is or even if it is a person but it’s just a name. What’s clear after you’ve registered to play is that they have their fingers on the pulse of the online bingo player! There’s plenty of choice when it comes to games, both bingo, and slots, and a decent promotional schedule makes this a site worth a visit.

Dotty Bingo first burst onto the online bingo scene back in 2011 as part of the Broadway Gaming Group. At that time, and right up until 2020, the site was powered by the Microgaming bingo software. However, in the same year, Microgaming decided to drop their bingo offering and Pragmatic Play stepped in to keep things going.

Whilst Microgaming are no longer responsible for the provision of software for the bingo, they are still very much involved with the slots so you will find all their popular games in the portfolio of instant win games.

The homepage for this site is pretty bland in comparison to some that you may have come across, but let’s be honest, what more do you need than details of the welcome bonus?

When you have registered to play things are clearly set out for you on the entrance page. You can see all the rooms that are available for bingo, and a click of the menu button next to the logo of the brand offers you navigation to slots, promotions, rewards, help, and much more.

The bingo bonus that you receive can only be used in the bingo rooms and have wagering requirements of 3x.

For the slot spins, the wagering requirements are 50x any winnings derived from the free spin. Please note that not all slot games contribute 100% to meeting the wagering requirements. Details of the games that only contribute 75% are listed on the Terms and Conditions page.

When you are using bonus money to play, there is a maximum bet limit of £6.25.

Deposit Options

There are several banking options available to you at Dotty Bingo, although sadly PayPal is not one of them.

Debit cards, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, and Instant Bank Transfer (if available for use with your bank) are the choices for deposits.

The minimum deposit amount is £10 with this brand, and the minimum withdrawal amount is £20. You can withdraw a lower amount than this but may be subject to a service charge of £2 if you do.

The Dotty Bingo promotions can be viewed under the Promos heading from the main menu. On the dedicated page, there are details of the latest time-limited offers and also the regular deals.

All of the promotions are linked with the other Broadway Gaming sites so you will be competing against players from the other brands too. Details can be found in the sister sites section of this review of the other sites.

At the time of the review, the promotions available consisted of one time-limited promotion, details of two different game types available at the site, and the following ongoing deal:

Slot Sprints  – every day there is a slot sprint promo. Just opt-in and hope you reach the top of the leaderboard to win free spins.

In addition to this, there is a loyalty program available. You earn points for every £1 you deposit, for every £1 wagered on bingo, and for every £1 wagered on casino. These can be cashed in for bonus funds.

For any of the promotions available from this brand, you do need to opt-in to them.

Bonus Codes

Dotty Bingo does not promote any particular bonus codes at their site but it is worth agreeing to receive marketing material from the brand because, like other bingo sites, they may send you details of a bonus code using your chosen contact method.

Game Selection

The bingo games at Dotty Bingo are powered by Pragmatic play whilst Microgaming is the name behind all the slots and casino games.

When it comes to bingo game choice, you have 75 ball, 80 ball, and 90 ball bingo which are played across a variety of different rooms. As the site is part of a network this means more players and ultimately, bigger prize pools than at a standalone brand.

Ticket prices vary from room to room and in each, you get to choose how many tickets you wish to purchase for each game. Bingo games play frequently but not all rooms are open 24/7.

If you’re looking for something to complement your bingo, then there is plenty of choice when it comes to slots and instant win games. There are video slots, themed slots, and progressive jackpot slots. The portfolio isn’t quite as extensive as at other brands on other platforms, but there’s enough to stop you from getting bored!

TV Adverts

Dotty Bingo hasn’t been advertised on television for a number of years now. It was around 2013/14 that the brand chose to promote their product on TV.

There were a number of their commercials that were banned by the ASA, one was considered to be ‘too sexually explicit’. It’s this one that we have chosen to show you.

BANNED Dotty Bingo The Rabbit sketch

It may be that this online bingo site chooses to create a new commercial following the software changes. If this does happen, you will find details of the new Dotty Bingo TV advert in this section of our review.

Review Summary

Dotty Bingo has been awarded a 4-star rating from us. Overall the site offers a great gaming experience with plenty of bingo choices and slot games available to the player. However, the promotional offers and the potential charge for withdrawing under £20 means that they fell a little shy of the expectations we have of a bingo brand.
