Giant Bingo Review

Giant Bingo has now closed its doors. This review will remain published for historical purposes.

Fe Fi Fo Fum, Giant Bingo smells the blood of a bingo player! The site stomped its way onto our computer screens in early 2015, the then-latest addition to the sites that were opened by Mandalay Media/Ignite/Intertain. When it first opened its doors to players who wanted to climb their virtual beanstalk, a friendly-looking giant was waiting to greet you. However, the UKGC (UK Gambling Commission) made changes to the regulations around online gambling a couple of years after the site launched, and the giant disappeared.

The home page now features a little rough terrain and huge stones and whilst it isn’t the most appealing of designs, if you’re a bingo connoisseur then you will recognize the layout instantly.

Whilst the giant may have been retired, there are still plenty of references to the branding around the site; like the ginormous jackpots, and an invitation to get huge at this supersized offering. We think they are referring to the jackpots on offer rather than any weight you may gain whilst playing here!

Powered by Dragonfish software, this site offers a trusted and secure gaming platform at which to enjoy a variety of different games. There’s more than bingo available, and some of the slots have gigantic progressive jackpots to offer.

Welcome Offer

As a new player registering with Giant Bingo, you are instantly granted access to a free play room called the Bingo Academy. This room boasts 90 ball games every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and you can access it for two days without dropping any of your hard-earned cash! All of the games offer a prize pot of £1.75

If you do make a deposit as soon as you register, access to the room extends from two days to five days!

A £10 minimum deposit is required to avail yourself of the new player welcome offer and this is a 300% bingo bonus worth up to a gigantic £200. As if that wasn’t enough, the team will also throw in 30 free spins for the Fruit Blast slot game.

Wagering Requirements

For the bingo bonus, wagering requirements are set at 4x the total amount of the initial deposit and the bonus awarded.

The free spins do not have any wagering requirements attached to them and winnings are credited in your real money balance up to a maximum of £3.

You do have to claim your freebies though; they are not automatically credited to your account on your successful first deposit. Simply visit the ‘Prizes’ tab in the ‘My Zone’ area to claim them.

The only other rule around the bonus cash and free spins is that they must be used within seven days or they will be removed from your account.

Deposits and Withdrawals

The banking options available at Giant Bingo are the same as you will find at many other Grand Battery Holding operated sites. The full list of accepted funding methods for UK players are:

  • By telephone – call 08082 387 546 or +12684 844 830 from outside of the UK
  • Debit cards
  • PayPal
  • ApplePay – (only from an Apple device)

The minimum deposit amount allowed is £5, as the minimum withdrawal amount. However, you should note that to receive any of the bonus offers listed a deposit of £10 is required.

There’s more to be had at Giant Bingo than the first deposit welcome offer, this site awards bonuses of free tickets on deposit two and three too! As well as that, there is a Deposit Deal worth checking out on each deposit made to your account of at least £10.

The site is host to a selection of free bingo games, low-cost games, and plenty of jackpot action too. Below are just some of the jackpots listed under the Jackpots tab from the promotions page:

  • Silver To Be Sure – plays daily from 7 pm until midday the next day and boasts £1,000 jackpots for 5p tickets – 90 ball game
  • Bones For Bread – plays on a Monday at 9.30 pm with a £600 jackpot for 5p tickets – five-line game
  • Shoulder of Giants – plays on a Thursday at 9 pm for a £500 jackpot and tickets costing 10p each – 90 ball game

As well as all of the above, the site offers Daily Cashback and a reward program.

Bonus Codes

You won’t find bonus codes advertised anywhere on the site and although some sites send these out when you register for their marketing material, we are not sure whether this particular brand does. The reason for this is that they offer deposit deals on all transactions so it may be that they do not need to.

Should we ever come across a bonus code for Giant Bingo that can be used by our readers, the details will be listed in this section.

Bingo and Slots Games

Bingo Choice

Giant Bingo is the place to be for bingo because they have a humungous selection of rooms as well as a decent choice of game variants in those rooms. Step into the bingo lobby and you will find that everything is set out in such a way that it is easy to find a room that offers just what you are looking for.

In the lobby, you can see an array of details of what is happening in each individual bingo room from the ticket prices, game type, ticket price, prize pot, and a few other details too.

The site offers players four different game types of bingo and these are 75 ball as both pattern and five-live, 90 ball, and 52-5 bingo. With a choice of game type, you also have a choice of ticket prize so whatever your budget, there’s something to suit here.

Slots Choice

The Dragonfish camp has over 650 different instant win games in their catalogue and you will find many of them available to play here. Like the bingo lobby, the slots lobby is laid out so it’s easy to find a game that meets your slots preference and betting values.

Whether you’re someone who prefers the bingo classic slots like Eyecon’s Fluffy Favourites or someone who loves to spin the reels of the latest release, you will find it all here. Microgaming, NetEnt, and many other slots are available to play.

Contact Support

To contact support you can use any of the following methods:

Additionally, there is a ‘Help’ section available from the home page and under this section, you will find some ‘How To Play’ information for each of the bingo games, FAQs and even a tip sheet for Bingo Lingo.

Sister Sites

There are quite a number of brands online today that some might consider Giant Bingo sister sites because the overall gameplay is the same from one Dragonfish brand to another.

We have chosen to list as sister sites those that were originally launched by the Ignite/Mandalay Media/Intertain camp:

TV Adverts

Whilst there have never been any Giant Bingo TV adverts seen on the small screen, we have the storyboard created in our head! However, it’s unlikely now that this a brand that is going to launch a commercial on television.

Should they do so in the future, details will be available here.

Review Summary

Freebies on every deposit, an impressive selection of jackpots, free bingo, and live games, big money prize pools, a loyalty reward scheme, and much more by way of offers and deals mean that we could not award Giant Bingo any less than a 4-star rating. The downfall of the site is that it doesn’t boast anything unique to make it stand out from the crowd but this is far outweighed by what is on offer.
