It was back in 2006 that Sun Bingo first appeared and back then, it was powered by the same software as tombola. Four years later and Gamesys had mimicked the proprietary offering and the brand moved to the new software. This was until 2015 when Playtech managed to secure a deal to operate the popular bingo brand.

What’s the new player welcome offer?
As a new player registering and making an initial deposit at this top 10 bingo site, the red carpet is really rolled out for you with their welcome offer. A minimum deposit of £10 and when it has been spent on bingo tickets, you will earn you a £50 bingo bonus and 50 spins on the Age Of The Gods slot! The latter has to be accepted within 48 hours or you will lose them though.
What isn’t advertised on the home page is that you will also receive seven days access to the Learner Room. This room is open twice a day, from 12:00 until 14:00 and 18:00 until 20:00 and offers completely free bingo games.
All winnings from these games are paid as bonus funds and in a week there is £1,500 in the free bingo prize pot!
Are there wagering requirements for the welcome bonus?
There are wagering requirements on the welcome bonus, and any subsequent bonuses awarded from this site.
For the welcome offer the wagering required on the £50 bingo bonus you receive are 4x the bonus value – so that’s £200. For the Age Of The Gods spins, the wagering required is 30x any winnings derived from the spins. For example, if you win £10 from the 50 spins you will have to wager £300 before the winnings become withdrawable.
You can withdraw any cash you have in your Sun Bingo account but if wagering has not been met, any bonuses and associated winnings will be lost at the point of withdrawing funds from your account.
Details of the bonuses and any wagering still outstanding can be found under the ‘My Bonuses’ from the bingo lobby.

You only have to visit the dedicated promotional page at the site to see that this brand puts a lot of effort into maintaining the player’s interest in what they have to offer.

- £20,000 Prize Night – This happens on the first Friday of every month (at least until December 2020). Tickets will cost between 5p and 50p and £20,000 will be won between 18:00 and 23:59.

Does Sun Bingo have any sister sites?
Fabulous Bingo is another site owned by the same company responsible for Sun Bingo. Fabulous is the magazine that can be found in the daily newspaper on particular days.
It’s worth noting that The Sun newspaper also runs a traditional paper-based bingo game every day in the UK and the Sun Bingo Numbers are published on our dedicated page.
Sun Bingo TV Ads
Sun Bingo has been advertised on the small screens many times over the years but the most impressive has to have been the ‘Are you gonna bingo?’ campaign that was launched in early 2018, and is still one of our favorite all time bingo TV ads.
The campaign has changed a little since it was launched but Jayde Adams (Twitter account https://twitter.com/jaydeadams) remains the star of the adverts, whichever version you watch.
We’ve opted to include the full-length original commercial which you can view below:
Our review summary
Sun Bingo Review
Sun Bingo was always going to be a winner considering many participated with the game in the daily newspaper. Whilst it has undergone many changes since it was first launched, it has maintained a good player connection and continues to offer a great selection of games, both slots and bingo, and a tidy selection of promotions. It’s for that reason it has scored a hefty 4.6 in our star ratings.
