If you know anything about Vikings then you will know that they were seafaring people from Scandinavia and they raided, pillaged, traded, and pirated all around the world. The only link between the Vikings and Viking bingo is the longship featured on the homepage. Although some might say that they do their pillaging when you look at the wagering requirements of the bonuses they give out. They even talk about joining the ‘raid’ in the terms and conditions of the welcome offer.
It was in 2015 that the site first appeared on our bingo screens but then in 2018, it sailed into the distance and appeared to have disappeared into the sunset. Fast forward to 2019 and it returned to port with a new design. At launch, the site was part of the Wheel of Slots network, but its return saw it move to the 15 Network.
With the relaunch came a new look to the site, and it was a much-needed improvement. Roll your mouse around the homepage and the longship now bounces around in the waves.
If you’re a fan of what the 15 Network and Pragmatic Play have to offer, you will be at home aboard this site.
|Deposit £10 and open the Loot Chest to receive up to 500 slot spins
|Best Deposit Methods
|Debit Cards, Paysafecard, PayPal, Pay By Mobile
When you make your first deposit of at least £10 at Viking Bingo then you will be able to open the Loot Chest to reveal your welcome bonus from the site.
The Loot Chest will reveal one of a variety of prizes with the maximum being 500 free spins on the Starburst slot. It is likely that you won’t find yourself with the top number of free spins, but varying values are available or it could be you win an Amazon voucher.
Any free spins that you win when opening the Loot Chest have wagering requirements attached to any winnings you achieve with them. These are quite high at 65x the value of your wins. These wagering requirements are attached to any wins you accumulate from your free spins. Only wagering using bonuses count towards meeting the wagering requirements.
There is a cap in place on winnings from any free spins and this is £8 for every 10 spins awarded. There is also a cap on the conversion to real cash when wagering has been met; this is the total value of your deposits from your time with the site up to a maximum of £250.
Deposits and Withdrawals
You can choose any of the following banking options at Viking Bingo:
- Debit cards
- Pay By Mobile
It is worth noting that if using Pay By Mobile, there is a £2.50 transaction fee for deposits of £5, £10, and £20.
Another sticking point is the fact that you are charged £2.50 for any withdrawal. For example, if you withdraw £10, you will only receive £7.50!
The minimum deposit amount is £10 and the minimum withdrawal amount is the same.
You can access the promotions page at Viking Bingo from the homepage and it is here that you will see what the site has to offer by way of time-limited and ongoing special offers and deals.
At the time of the review, there was one time-limited offer available. We know that this brand has at least one new promotion to offer its players every month so it is worth visiting the page to see what this is for the time you visit.
As well as the time-limited deal, the site is host to many regular deals, and these include, but are not limited to:
- Birthday Bonus – Celebrate your special day with the site by claiming some free spins.
- Free Spins Of The Month – For every £20 you deposit in the promotional month, you will be awarded between 20 and 500 slot spins on the two slot games that have been chosen for that particular month.
Trophies are one of the most popular promotions at any of the Jumpman sites and it sees you awarded trophies for completing various tasks. The more trophies you collect, the more Loot Chests you can open and the more free spins you could be awarded.
You won’t find Viking Bingo bonus codes displayed around the site; they do not appear to be a regular feature at this brand.
If we are offered any exclusive bonus codes, or codes that are accessible to our readers, details will be available in this section of our review of the site.
Bingo and slots choice
It’s hard to get enthused about the bingo on offer at Viking Bingo because, whilst you have a few options in variants, there are no live games. All of the games have extensive waiting times until the next plays. This is heaven for the player who loves to pre-buy, but not for those that love a bit of instant bingo action.
The bingo variants available at the site are 75 ball, 80 ball, 30 ball, and 90 ball games and they are also host to Bingo Blast and Bingo Millions.
It’s clear that this brand, like most from Jumpman Gaming, is more about the slots than the bingo. You only have to look at the navigational menu to see that prevalence is given to the instant win games available. Bingo is listed off-screen requiring a scroll to even access details of the games on offer.
You will be spoilt for choice when you head for the slot arena here; there are 100s of different titles to choose from. It doesn’t matter which software provider you favour; you will likely find their name in amongst the many that have their hand in at Viking Bingo.
As is the case with many online bingo sites, the popular titles from the likes of NetEnt, Eyecon, Microgaming, and many others can be found in the catalogue of games available. You’ll see the likes of Fluffy Favourites, Starburst, Piggy Riches, Action Bank, and a whole plethora of different titles to choose from. If you use the search option, you can find your favourite game, or you can opt to see what’s new! New games are added regularly and with bet sizes starting from as little as a penny, all budgets are catered for.
If you visit the ‘Contact Us’ page from the link on the home page, you are taken directly to the FAQ section. This is not the most informative of areas, but you may find the answer to your query here.
Should you need to contact the support team for Viking Bingo directly, the options available to you are:
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- They also suggest using the social media site Facebook, but we found that there was quite a delay in getting a response.
Please note: If you do email the site, they aim to respond within two working days.
Viking Bingo hails from the Jumpman Gaming camp and as such, many brands are considered sister sites to this one.
Below are just a small selection of the sister sites for this brand, but a more comprehensive list can be found at https://www.bestbingowebsites.com/jumpman-bingo-sites:
As yet, we have not seen any Viking Bingo TV commercials and we doubt that they will be taking to the small screen in the future to promote their product.
However, should they choose to sail into TV marketing in the future, details of their commercial will be listed in this area of our review.
It’s obvious from the moment you hit the wagering requirements section of our review why we couldn’t award Viking Bingo anymore than a 3-star rating. High wagering requirements and a charge for withdrawals are both reasons why we felt like this brand (and all others on the same network) are ‘pillaging’. Throw in that all of the bingo games have an extensive wait between games and actually, this is more of a slot site than one dedicated to bingo. Whilst things have improved since the change in software provider, there is still a way to go before we will be setting sail for this brand again anytime soon!
