William Hill Bingo Review

About

William Hill is a name synonymous with gambling and probably best-known for its high-street betting shops. It was created back in 1934 but has been offering online gaming since 1998. Bingo was always a bit of an afterthought but it was inevitable that it was going to be added at some point. William Hill Bingo wasn’t launched until 2007 and although a latecomer to the online bingo scene, it continues to be one of the most popular bingo sites today.

The same branding applies to the William Hill Bingo arena as the other areas of the site such as the casino and sportsbook, but what is different is that the design of the bingo side of things has a more subtle hue to it.

What makes it stand out from the crowd is that bingo is the focus of the landing page. Over the years, we have seen many brands shift their focus to slots and many online bingo landing pages promote these rather than the bingo offering. William Hill does not. However, they do not offer a specific bingo bonus, instead opting to focus on a slots offer for new players.

It’s William Hill and it’s bingo so you’re guaranteed a safe and secure online environment to enjoy your favourite game but with the bonus of also being able to access the other areas of a top-quality gaming site.

Promotions

William Hill Bingo provide their players with a dedicated page for promotions and this is updated regularly, it’s worth visiting to see what the latest deals and offers are.

At the time of our review, there was a selection of specials listed. Three were time-limited, two were related to the welcome offer for new players, and then there were the following:

Penny Bingo – Every day in the Bargain Basement you can play for a penny for your chance to win a share of the total game prize of £15.

Bargain Hour – Visit the Fluffy Favourites bingo room between 6 pm and 7 pm for a chance to play cheap games (2p or 5p tickets) for prizes up to £55.

Superbooks Saturday – Head to the Time Out Tavern for the chance to upgrade to Superbooks for just 10p per ticket.

Additionally, the site offers an impressive rewards program where your points can be converted into bonus funds. The higher your loyalty level, the more you get for your points! Loyalty points are earned for every £1 you spend on bingo tickets.

Bonus Codes

Bonus codes aren’t really something that this site uses. Instead, they ask their players to ‘Opt In’ to their promotional offers, whether that’s free spins or a different type of bonus.

Should we ever be offered exclusive bonus codes, they will be made available to our readers in this section of our review.

Game Selection

It’s hard to know where to start when it comes to bingo and slot choices at William Hill Bingo because they have so much to choose from in all areas! There are many different bingo brands to choose from and over the years, bingo has taken a bit of a back seat to slots with many. Not at this site.

When you head to the bingo lobby, you’re given many options to help you choose a room that suits your taste and budget. To the left of the screen are the game types; 90 ball, 75, 80 ball, specials, and games. The 75, 80 and 90 ball are self-explanatory, but if you are looking for something a little different then it’s the specials that are worth a look. It is here that you will find Cash Cubes and Bingo Bowl as well as the themed bingo games like Fluffy Favourites Bingo, Rainbow Riches Bingo, Deal or No Deal Bingo.

Cash Cubes and Bingo Bowl is bingo with a twist. Cash Cubes have tickets that have four squares and when all four numbers have been called, your cube is complete. Collect all four cubes and you’ll win the 4 cubes prize. Bingo Bowls is bingo but played on bowling pins. Knockdown all of the pins (each has a number on it), and you’re a winner. The themed games all have their own unique way of bringing an additional way to win bingo on each of them.

For slots, although the bingo area of William Hill only lists 150, you can also opt to access William Hill Vegas and Casino giving you access to even more choice. As you would expect from such a giant in the world of online gaming, there is an impressive choice of developers who have their titles at this site. These include, but are not limited to, the likes of Play N’Go, NetEnt, Slingo, Eyecon, and many more.

Contact Support

Help and Support can be accessed through a pulldown on your main screen and here you have the following options:

  • Game Rules – In this area, you have the ability to access ‘How To Play’ for all of the bingo rooms, slots and games!
  • Contact – There are a selection of topics to choose from but if you cannot find the answer you are looking for, you can contact the site by clicking the ‘Still looking for answers button’.
  • Live Chat – At first, this is a digital assistant but it easy to transfer to a real advisor.

At the time of the review, all support queries were being handled by Live Chat due to operational reasons around the Coronavirus pandemic.

Sister Sites

William Hill Bingo is a brand in its own right but many of the rooms are linked with other brands on the Virtue Fusion/Playtech software.

Other sites using the same software are:

TV Adverts

William Hill Bingo has been one of the most prolific when it comes to promoting online bingo on television and over the years we have seen quite the selection of marketing campaigns from this brand.

With that said, it’s been several years since the focus has been on the bingo side of things when advertising on television.

One of our personal favourites from this brand was first seen in 2012 and featured the iconic tune from The Trashmen Bird is the Word. It originally appeared that William Hill was trying to create a ‘mascot’ for the brand, much like Foxy Bingo, but actually, it looks like they were just trying to show the fun side of the brand.

Summary

What’s not to love about William Hill Bingo? It’s a site that has earned its 4.5-star rating. We loved the transparent wagering required (and the low-value multiplier), the impressive selection of bingo games available which include themed bingo games, the quick withdrawals, the depositing options and the chat hosts. It all comes together to make this site one that has to be on your visit list – if you haven’t done so already.
