Candy Shop Bingo Review

Candy Shop Bingo

It was in April 2015 that Candy Shop Bingo opened the doors to their bingo sweetshop and joined the many other sites powered by Dragonfish software. At launch, Betty was the cartoon face of the brand, but like many sites following a change in regulations, she was dropped a while ago as it was felt she held appeal to people under the age of 18.

The site takes the theme to the promotions on offer, with many a sweet deal to be had, starting with the welcome bonus for new players. It doesn’t stop there though, there is plenty to keep you coming back for another bingo snack.

The coating for this brand is a design that uses various pink hues; it looks like an explosion in a candy-floss factory! As for navigation around the site, from the home page to the main lobby, it’s all set out in a way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for, with plenty to whet your bingo and slots appetite.

Under the Silverspin hat and on the Dragonfish platform, this means that when you play here you are doing so on a trusted gaming platform with an impressive history in the world of online gaming.

Welcome Offer

You don’t have to make a deposit instantly to be able to have a taster of the bingo that Candy Shop Bingo has to offer. From the moment you register an account, you can play some no-cost bingo games for 3 days in the Daily Doozy room.

If you do choose to fund your account then the goodies keep on coming with a £10 deposit. It’s a bonus package that gives you a little extra by way of a £20 bingo bonus and 20 slot spins on the Fruit Shop game.

Please note: the bonus shown above is the maximum that you will receive even if you choose to deposit more than the £10 minimum required to activate the welcome offer for new players.

Wagering Requirements

The bonuses awarded to you as a new player at Candy Shop Bingo have wagering requirements attached to them, but they aren’t any more than we have come to expect from brands using this software.

Your bingo bonus carries wagering requirements of 4x the value of the bonus that you are awarded. The winnings that you achieve using the free spins on the Fruit Shop slot are subject to 80x wagering requirements.

It is worth checking the terms and conditions of the welcome bonus on site because not all games will contribute 100% to meeting the wagering of the free spins. These details can be found easily on the T&C’s page.

The only other rule around the welcome bonus of that the free spins will only be available for seven days after they have been added to your account. Any used spins will be forfeited after this time.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Candy Shop Bingo has all of the standard banking options available that you will find at any Dragonfish site. With the exception of one method, all are available to UK players but two options are limited to UK players only as shown in the list below:

  • Telephone: call 0800 901 2510 from the UK, +44 800 901 2510 from any other country
  • Debit cards
  • PayPal (UK only)
  • Apple Pay (UK only and only for use from an Apple device)

£5 is the value of both the minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal from this site.

Jackpots (both progressive and guaranteed) are standard at Candy Shop Bingo, as are a selection of free bingo games but to complement these and maintain their player’s interest and loyalty, there are several promotions on offer here.

Like most online bingo sites, this brand offers a loyalty scheme and they are called the Star Rewards. Each week your deposit and spend at their site will be used to determine just how many rewards you receive. The rewards can be bonus spins, bingo tickets, spins of the Candy Wheel, and many other things.

There is also a monthly draw (it’s a bingo game) where tickets are not for sale but have to be earned. These can be earned on the Candy Wheel, via promo codes, or on the Super-Star Wheel. If you win the full house on the special game on the 16th of each month at 21:00, you will take home whatever the prize of the month is.

This is just some of what is one offer at this site, for full details, check out their dedicated promotions page.

Bonus Codes

Bonus codes do not appear to be a regular feature at Candy Shop Bingo. However, like other sites that suggest you register to receive promotional news from them, it may be that you receive a bonus code via SMS, email, or post.

Should we become aware of any codes that are suitable for use by our readers for this brand, then it is here that you will find the details.

Game Selection

Whether it is bingo or slots that are your preference, you will find a great selection of both at Candy Shop Bingo and your first port of call will be the lobby. Here everything is set out in sections with the main being Bingo and Slots. These areas then have sub-sections that further help you find what you are looking for.

If you have a sweet tooth for bingo then you have four different types of the game to get your teeth into. 75 ball is available as pattern games (75/24) and five-line games (75/25). You also have 90 ball games and 52 ball games. From the bingo lobby, you can see a selection of information about each room too. This includes the ticket price, the jackpot value, and a few other details too.

For the instant win player, there is an abundance of different games available; there are slots, scratchcards, and a selection of table games. There are over 400 different titles to choose from and new games are added regularly.

Classic favourites, new releases, and the best from the elite software providers are in amongst the titles. You can even play some of them on the same screen as your bingo thanks to mini-games, a bonus if you like a bit of bingo with your slots or vice versa.

Contact Support

The support options at Candy Shop Bingo are not limited to the contact methods listed below. The chat hosts are quite knowledgeable and may be able to offer advice and guidance and there is also a useful and informative ‘How to Play’ section at the site.

Head to the ‘Help’ page that is linked from the bottom of the home page and you will find the following options:

TV Adverts

We don’t recall there ever being a Candy Shop Bingo TV advert, and a little research did not find one either.

Given the number of brands on this network, it’s unlikely we will see one in the future but if they do choose to launch a commercial for their site, details will be available here.

Review Summary

Although a sister site of a brand that we have awarded a higher rating, Candy Shop Bingo scored slightly lower than its relation with a 4-star rating. The reason is that they didn’t have the exclusive bonus codes on offer that the other brand did. However, what it does have is all the great features that we have come to expect like great game choice, a decent selection of promotions, and something for all players – both newbies and veteran bingo fans.
