Silk Bingo Review

Silk Bingo

About

It was back in the summer (June) of 2013 that Silk Bingo first graced the online bingo scene as part of the United Bingo group of sites. Originally this name was part of the larger Dragonfish bingo network but is now part of the smaller group of brands from United Bingo.

The site has had several re-designs over the years and each time the changes enhance the overall look and feel.

They make numerous claims on their homepage including being a ‘luxury online bingo site’ boasting ‘a luxurious venue’ at which to play the best bingo and slot games.

Its longevity in the world of online bingo suggests that players have certainly taken the site to their hearts but is it the site for you? Read on to find out exactly what Silk Bingo has to offer you by way of bonuses, games, promotions, and gaming experience.

Welcome Offer

Before making a deposit with Silk Bingo you are given three days access to a free play room called The Biggie.

Making your first deposit of a minimum of £10 will see you awarded a 200% match bonus up to a maximum of £30 and 30 slot spins. The free spins that you will receive are on the popular Eyecon game, Irish Luck. To put it in simple terms, if you deposit £10 you will get a £20 bonus + 30 extra spins.

Wagering Requirements

There are wagering requirements and some restrictions/rules around the welcome bonus. For bingo, the wagering required is 4x the amount of the deposit and bonus awarded.

When it comes to the free spins the first thing to note is that your winnings are capped at a maximum of £4.50. The second thing is that they carry quite heft wagering requirements at a whopping 85x the winnings that you achieve from them.

Winnings from the free spins will only be credited to your bonus account when you have used all of the 30 spins. They are only available in your account for three days from the moment they have been awarded. After this time they will be removed.

Only a maximum of £100 and the initial bonus awarded can be converted to real cash when you have met the wagering requirements set out in the terms and conditions of the welcome offer.

It is worth noting that not all games contribute 100% towards meeting wagering requirements so it is worth reading the easily accessible terms and conditions.

Please remember, all wagering and restrictions are subject to change, make sure you clarify the accuracy of these details on the official website.

Deposit Options

There are many different banking options listed at Silk Bingo and these are:

  • By Phone – simply call 0808 238 0074 or +44 203 478 2666 to deposit via a support agent
  • Visa debit cards
  • PayPal – only available to UK players
  • Apple Pay – only available to UK players using an Apple device

The minimum deposit amount is £10 and the minimum withdrawal amount is £5.

Promotions

Silk Bingo doesn’t appear to have many promotional offers; at least we couldn’t find many listed under in the menu from the main lobby. There’s very little to get the bingo juices flowing.

With that said, the site is home to quite an array of jackpots. These are both progressive, guaranteed, and then your usual prize pots in the standard games. Details of all these games can be found in the main lobby.

It will be here that you would find details of any of the latest promotional offers from the brand. Whilst there may not have been any at the time of preparing our review, that’s not to say there won’t be any in the future.

Bonus Codes

Silk Bingo bonus codes are not a mainstay of the brand and not something required to claim the new player offer.

However, should you choose to register with the site we strongly suggest agreeing to at least one of their marketing options (SMS or email). In doing so, you may find that the occasional bonus code is sent.

Game Selection

You’re not going to get bored playing at Silk Bingo because there’s an impressive array of games, both bingo and slots, to choose from!

The Dragonfish software powers the bingo games in the rooms and there are three different game types to choose from, four if you count the two different variants of 75 ball available. 75 ball is on offer as pattern games or five-line games and there are also 90 ball games, the traditional English variant.

These are complemented with 52 ball bingo, a variant that was only introduced in 2016.

When you check out the array of slots available, you will find yourself spoilt for choice! There are over 350 different slot titles on offer from some of the best-known developers in the world of online gaming.

Eyecon titles have always been popular with bingo players since the game launched online but over the years we have seen the likes of NetEnt, Microgaming, and many others throw their titles into the mix.

Some of the slots are available to play as mini-games alongside your bingo whilst others will open on a separate screen. You can leave your bingo in auto-daub and spin the reels whichever option suits your playing choices.

Contact Info

Support at Silk Bingo is available in several different formats. The site has a dedicated Help room accessible from chat and this is covered by a number of chat hosts well-versed in the product.

Additionally, you can use any of the following options to contact the site:

A full list of opening times for support is listed on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Silk Bingo Sister Sites

Although Silk Bingo is powered by the Dragonfish software, it is part of a smaller network operated by United Bingo.

Some consider the Silk Bingo sister sites to be all brands on the Dragonfish software but the real ‘siblings’ are listed below:

TV Adverts

Silk Bingo has yet to advertise its product on television and to be honest, it’s unlikely that they will choose this platform in the future.

However, should they choose to launch a commercial on the small screen, it is in this section of our review that you will find details.

Review Summary

3.5

Review Summary

We were impressed that all Silk Bingo has to offer by way of choice in games but sadly, it’s only a 3.5-star rating for this brand. The reason for this is the high wagering requirements and bog-standard promotions. With nothing to show on the side of promotions other than jackpots, the site fell a little short in our opinion. A bit more effort in this area and we’d be happy to increase the rating.
